Use Domo to show Cloudyn Data

Many customers use Domo (and other BI tools) to integrate data coming from multiple sources. In this article I will explain how to integrate data from Cloudyn into Domo

Step 1 - Setting up scheduled report to an S3 bucket

In Cloudyn, create a new saved report and set a date range of the last 7 days. Schedule it to run weekly and click the "Save to bucket" option to save it in an s3 bucket.

Once the scheduled report was sent go and search for it in your s3 bucket. You should see something like this:

Step 2 - Setup a Data-set in Domo

In Domo create a new data-set Cloud App and select Amazon S3:

Click "Add" and add your AWS credentials (you need to be able to list buckets and get objects).

Click "Next" and make sure "Partial File Name" is selected under the "HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO CHOOSE YOUR FILENAME?" setting.

In the "FILE NAME" field enter just the prefix of the file (without the time-stamp). In the above example, the original file name is "Users_Login_History_OrenMaoz1456673492767_1487151427954-2017-02-15_10:00.csv" and only "Users_Login_History" should be entered. This will ensure that Domo creates a single data-set from all the files saved to this bucket.

Step 3 - Add the data-set to Domo dashboard

Use Domo's "VISUALIZE YOUR DATA" screen to use the data-set you created and choose the way you would like to visualize it, in a way that best suits your needs.

For example:
